My New Treasures is a weekly feature here at Paperback Treasures to showcase all the books I received over the previous week. I do not take credit for this idea.
Bought:
Amelia Anne Is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield (Amazon | Goodreads)
Eep! Stealing Parker! I LOVE Miranda Kenneally! I love how her girl main characters aren't afraid to be who they want to be. I find her stories so empowering. I loved Catching Jordan:)
I haven't read anything by Gwendolyn Heasley - waiting for your review!
I love baseball (absolutely LOVE it, it's my favorite sport, I find it so so soothing, don't ask me why. Everything else gets me on edge, but baseball...it's like comfort food for me:)and I'm NOT sporty at all) Is there a lot of baseball in Stealing Parker? I liked how in her other book there wasn't that much football, just enough for the characters.
Stealing Parker doesn't have *that* much baseball. Same as with football in Catching Jordan, I think. It was there, but in a way that didn't get boring for me, as someone who doesn't care about the sport :p
NOOOO! I was kinda hoping there was a lot of baseball because I love it. Mind you, had there been a lot of football in Catching Jordan I'd have fallen asleep, so I know why that makes sense.
Is this an illicit romance, because the guy is older? Does it have a legal undertone, or is it like Catching Jordan?
Yeah, I can see how that'd be disappointing. But I think the majority of readers will prefer it this way :p
It is partly an illicit romance. There's some stuff about them sneaking around to be together, but there's not *that* much about the legal stuff. And it's not all about her romance with the coach; there's a few different guys and you don't know until pretty late on which one she'll end up with. And there's some other storylines, too, about the family and stuff, so it's not all about the illicit romance.
AWW TOO MANY BOOKS. GIVE ME SOME OF THEM. Amelia Anne Is Dead and Gone - do want. Never Enough - Books about ED trigger my ED actually but, do want. too. The Probability of Miracles - do want. Too. Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't Have) - do want. Too.
I'm not a good listener. Are you German or do you just speak German?
Anyway, I reviewed this Christian book I told you about before. Just saying. If you want, I'll give you the link. Or just find my blog in my profile. :D
Haha :p *hands books over* I think Never Enough is a kind of non-triggering ED book, cause it's not only about the disorder but about loads of other stuff too. Not that I want you to risk anything, just saying :)
It has nothing to do with your listening, just with my editing :p This video got super long, so I edited out lots of stuff, including the part where I would have told you that I'm German :p I'm German and live in Germany, so that's why the bookstore where I interned has German books. I just normally read in English.
You had a really awesome week! Lots of amazing reads in that pile! I still need to read Beauty Queens by Bray and now really does feel like the perfect time. Hope you love them all!
WOW, so many AMAZING books! <3 Seems like you're going to be a bit busy for a long time, Hannah! ;) Amelia Anne Is Dead and Gone sounds really interesting! I'm going to be in a look-out for your review! Aww, I love Saving Francesca! I need to read more books by Melina Marchetta, especially since so many people I know are obsessed with her works!
Hi! I'm a PhD Candidate in English Literature and Critical Gender Studies, and my research is on Young Adult fiction. I've been running this YA book blog since I was an actual YA. When I'm not writing about YA in the academic world, I'm still writing book reviews and more informal versions of my thoughts about YA on here.

Yes, that's what I loved about Catching Jordan, too! Stealing Parker has a little more substance, but it's still very girl-power-y and awesome :D
