Circle of Silence by Carol M. Tanzman

Release date: July 24th 2012
It’s my turn to run a Campus News crew, and I’ve put together a team that can break stories wide open. And Washington Irving High has a truly great one to cover, if only we can find a lead.
A secret society has formed in our school. It announced its presence with pranks: underwear on the flag pole, a toilet in the hallway, cryptic notes. A circle of silence keeps the society a mystery. No one knows its members, agenda, or initiation secrets—until a student lands in the hospital under strange circumstances.
I will blow this story wide open and stop others from being hurt…or worse. And while my ex, Jagger, might want to help, I don’t trust him yet. (And, no, not because of our past together. That is not important to this story.)
But whether you find me, Valerie Gaines, reporting in front of the camera, or a victim in the top story of the newscast…be sure to watch Campus News at 9:00 a.m. this Friday morning.

As Cam checks each item off the list, she finally learns to believe - in love, in herself, and even in miracles.
Why do they all have amazing covers? :< But I'm adding few to my wishlist anyway. I'm happy The Probability of Miracles will be out in paperback - that means CHEAPER! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm finally done with my papers (June was crazy!!) so I can comment normally again!
ReplyDeleteI've heard incredible things about Amelia and you loved Never Enough.
Pushing the Limits is on my wishlist - they're both so real and it will be great to see how their relationship heals them. I think there's a sequel, but with other characters, like a companion novel:)
To clarify - by "papers" I mean for university;)
DeleteI've already read Pushing the Limits, and I liked it! I didn't love the relationship between the two characters, but I did like their individual development. And yes, there's going to be a companion novel about one of the secondary characters from Pushing the Limits - a character I was very intrigued by, so I will definitely be reading that :)
DeleteI actually really like companion novels - especially in contemporary YA.
DeleteAnna and Lola were both great, and I like that Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker cross over in a way:)
It's a great way for secondary characters to get the limelight, especially when they're really well done like in contemporary. And we still get bits of the other characters, so we also see their development as well:)
Yes, I love companions, too! I don't always like series, since I forget what happened in the first book(s) and I don't like when they draw out the story longer than it should be, but I don't want to completely say goodbye to the characters I loved, either, so companions are a good way to go. I haven't read Lola yet, but I'm hoping to soon, since I loved Anna! Same goes with Stealing Parker :)
DeleteYou HAVE to read Lola! In many ways it's deeper, and Lola's journey is more heartbreaking because of her past, but it's just as romantic and swoony and quirky!
DeleteI loved Cricket (he's an inventor!! How cool is that?!)
I will read Lola, at some point, but I'm kind of obsessed about my books matching, and I have Anna as a paperback, so I'll probably wait for the paperback release of Lola, which will still take some time, sadly... It sounds great, though, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I do read it :)
DeleteThere are lots of great looking contemps coming out this month! I've read The Unquiet and liked it and I'm reading Pushing the Limits now!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of any of those books except for Such A Rush, but I still don't know what it's about..
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to Pushing The Limits, The Unquiet, Flawed, and Such A Rush. They all sound really good!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Pushing the Limits so come out, it looks so good ! Thanks for the list I now really want to read The Probability of Miracles now.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to THE LITTLE WOODS. It sound interesting & I just LOVE the cover.
