Follow Friday #8 / Book Blogger Hop #8

Follow Friday is a weekly feature hosted by Parajunkee's View. Each week, one blogger is featured, and this week it's Books Ahoy!

It also asks a different question each week. This week's question is: "What is the book that you really don't want to admit to loving?"

Hmm...This is a hard question...I don't have one book I'm embarrassed to love, but I read some chick-lit and romance-y books, like Nicholas Sparks's books. I'm not embarrassed to read those books, but I hate when people assume that becuase I read some books like that, I only read meaningless, trashy books, becasue I don't think that's true at all - I love deep, moving books just as much.

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books and is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word.

This week's question is: "Since today is April Fool's Day in the USA, what is the best prank you have ever played on someone OR that someone has played on you?"

Another hard question! I haven't played all that many pranks, because, well, I totally suck at them. I suck at tricking people or lying, too - I always start smiling and give myself away. I can't think of any interesting pranks people have played on me right now, either...

Sorry for my boring answers this week! I hope yours are more interesting, and I'm looking forward to reading those. Leave your answers or links in the comments!

  1. Great answer! I only get embarrassed by reading erotica in real life when my family asks what I'm reading. Thank goodness for ereaders! I'm a new follower. My Friday Follow is at Coffee Table Reviews

  3. At first I wasn't going to participate in this week's Book Blogger Hop. I'm not even sure why.

But here I am. And I'm glad! To dispel any false impressions people may have had about me being a old, stodgy fuddy-duddy I'm happy to share some of my very best pranks with you.

Highlights include - low-grade explosives, eggs and salt shakers. Get all the side-splitting details over on my blog - http://www.howardsherman.net

They date back to my younger years as a Brooklyn boy which brings about some introspection.

I'm going to go pull some pranks today. Look out world! I'm coming out of prankster retirement!

  4. Hi there! I love the name of your blog, and so I stopped by to see what you were up to. I've read and cried over several Nicholas Sparks books. I just don't think he knows how to write a happy ending! I like a bit of everything - serious, silly, fantasy, historical, etc.

Here's my FF post if you'd care to stop by. :)

  5. My answer isn't any more exciting....I hate playing pranks and hate being the victim of a prank. Not a nice thing to do.

I am stopping by from the blog hop.

Hope you have a fun blog hop.

Stop by my blog if you like to see my answer.
